J-Air previously had its headquarters in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture. Its operations include scheduled passenger services to 17 destinations across regional Japan, under Japan Airlines flight numbers. JSX (originally known as JetSuiteX) is an American air carrier in the United States and Mexico that describes itself as a "hop-on jet service" that operates point-to-point flights between and within Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, and Texas in the United States and Baja California Sur in Mexico. For regulatory purposes, JSX is setup as public charter operator and does not directly operate aircraft. JSX charters a 30-seat Embraer regional jet operated by its subsidiary Delux Public Charter (as JSX Air) and then resells seats on that aircraft to the public. The arrangement allows JSX to utilize pilots who are qualified to operate charter services, who can be either less experienced or older than allowed on commercial passenger flights.
